As the final week of the Edinburgh Festival gets underway, Hal has received great reviews for his performance in George Orwell's 'Coming Up For Air' as well as a clutch of four star reviews for his stand up show, 'Climb Every Molehill.' For the play, The Daily Mirror gave the show five stars and described it as a 'One man tour-de-force'; The Guardian said Hal's performance was 'perfectly judged' and 'Cruttenden doesn't so much play glumly respectable middle-aged, middle-income insurance salesman George Bowling as inhabit him.'; Evening Standard called it a 'hugely engaging performance', while The Times called the performance 'pitch perfect' in their four star review. Hal's stand up show 'Climb Every Molehill' started with a glowing review in The Stage which called him 'Immensely satisfying', while the Daily Mirror in its four star review said, 'Go and see Hal Cruttenden, he's got something to say and he'll make you laugh; a lot.' The most important review of his festival has been from The Scotsman. It gave four stars and said 'One thing he needn't worry about is being funny. He has that down pat.'
