The BBC has commissioned another six half-hour episodes of 'The Omid Djalili Show', a show which Hal wrote for and appeared in last Autumn. It faired well in the Saturday BBC1 slot against ITV shows like 'I'm a Celebrity..get me Out Of Here' and 'X-Factor' Final and received a large amount of critical acclaim. The Guardian called Omid, 'one of the most subversive, let alone funniest, comedians around.' Hal has already been contacted in connection with writing for the next series and, although a deal is yet to be finalised, will surely be contributing extensively to this show. Omid said, 'I am very grateful for the opportunity to be able to develop more material for a second series and look forward to working with the great team I had for the first one.'
