Omid Djalili's BBC 1 television show, which Hal has appeared in and also written extensively for, is holding it's own in the ratings and there are strong hopes for a second series.
Although it received a mixed media reception, which is not unusal considering it was given it's first outing in the Saturday night evening slot on BBC1, it has a growing fan base. The show's ratings are beating ITV, now 'I'm a Celeb' is off the air, and Omid may well be on his way to becoming the Iranian Dave Allen of our times.
